Art Lab: Drawing & Painting
Designed for students ready to deepen their skills, Art Lab: Drawing & Painting offers focused instruction in drawing and painting while encouraging imagination, exploration, and personal expression.
Throughout the series, students work with a variety of art mediums including pencil, color pencil, pastel, watercolor, and acrylic paint. Lessons introduce essential skills such as color mixing, blending, creating texture, working with value, and using different surfaces to enhance visual impact.
This is not a step-by-step class. Instead, students learn real art techniques while being encouraged to make creative choices and develop their own compositions. Projects combine observational drawing — such as working from photo references or still life — with imagination-based work that allows students to dream big and add their own personal flair.
Session 1: Nature Reimagined
Explore drawing and painting inspired by nature and imagination while learning
technique, composition, and personal artistic interpretation.
Session 2: Light, Shadow, Drama
Learn how light, shadow, and contrast create mood and strong visual impact through
focused drawing and painting projects.
Weekly Art Class
Classes meet once a week and provide time for skill-building,
creative exploration, and thoughtful artistic development.
When: Mondays, 4:45–6:00 PM
Dates:
Session 1 (six weeks): February 16 – March 23
Session 2 (six weeks): March 30 – May 11
No class during Spring Break (April 6–10)
Enrollment Options:
Students may enroll for the full 12 weeks or choose the first or second 6-week session.
Students are also welcome to join at any time, pending availability. Please email us if you are interested in a different start date or have special scheduling needs.

With ever-changing safety standards regarding COVID-19, we will be implementing the most up to date safety protocols, and will update those enrolled if any changes occur.

ART CLASS POLICIES
We are a drop-off studio for all kids 4+.
LOW STAFF:STUDENT RATIO Each child is supported & challenged as we strive to maintain a ratio of 1:8.
CANCELLATION POLICY
Payment is due at the beginning of each month.
Let us know at the beginning of the month about any dates that child will be absent and we will work with you with options.
Make-up classes are offered if you give two-day advance notice of non-attentance.
MAKEUP CLASSES ARE NOT AVAILABLE FOR NO SHOWS.*
*Exception in the case of sickness. If your child is sick, please DO NOT come to class. You will be offered a makeup time for any classes missed because of sickness.
