Mixed Media Explorations
This exploratory class keeps young minds engaged and inspired while encouraging creativity and self-expression. Designed for ages 8–12, Mixed Media Explorations invites young artists to experiment freely and discover how combining materials can lead to exciting, unexpected results.
Students explore art of all kinds and learn how to mix mediums in creative ways. Projects may include a combination of drawing, painting, printmaking, fabric arts, wax, resin, collage, assemblage, and found object art, along with non-traditional materials that encourage curiosity and inventive thinking. Projects include flat surface art as well as three dimensional sculpture.
The focus of this class is expressive, explorative art-making rather than step-by-step instruction. Artists are encouraged to make creative choices, experiment with ideas, and develop artwork that reflects their own interests and personal style.
Weekly Art Class
Classes meet once a week and offer extended time for experimentation, exploration,
and the creation of meaningful mixed media projects.
When: Thursdays, 6:15–7:30 PM
Dates:
Session 1: Feb 19 - Mar 26
Session 2: April 2 - May 14
No class during Spring Break (April 6–10)
Enrollment Options:
Families may enroll for the full 12 weeks or choose the first or second 6-week session.
All sessions are unique with no repeat projects.
Students are also welcome to join at any time, pending availability. Please email us if you are interested in a different start date or have special scheduling needs.

All kids and parents are encouraged to wear a mask at art classes.
With ever-changing safety standards regarding COVID-19, we will be implementing the most up to date safety protocols, and will update those enrolled if any changes occur

ART CLASS POLICIES
We are a drop-off studio for all kids 4+. Parents may accompany child or wait in adjourning waiting room, if desired.
LOW STAFF:STUDENT RATIO Each child is supported & challenged as we strive to maintain a ratio of 1:8.
CANCELLATION POLICY
Payment is due at the beginning of each month.
Let us know at the beginning of the month about any dates that child will be absent and we will work with you with options.
Make-up classes are offered if you give two-day advance notice of non-attentance.
MAKEUP CLASSES ARE NOT AVAILABLE FOR NO SHOWS.*
*Exception in the case of sickness. If your child is sick, please DO NOT come to class. You will be offered a makeup time for any classes missed because of sickness.
