Creative Voyagers: Clay & Sculpt
Creative Voyagers: Clay & Sculpt explores the exciting world of three-dimensional art through clay, ceramics, and other sculpture material.
Students learn foundational handbuilding clay techniques including pinch, coil, slab, and carving while creating functional pottery, decorative ceramics, and imaginative sculptures. Projects are glazed and kiln-fired, introducing students to the complete ceramic process from raw clay to finished artwork.
Beyond clay, students experiment with a variety of sculptural materials including wire, wood, found objects, and mixed media. Lessons encourage creative design, as kids make artistic choices as they experiencement with clay and sculpture.
