Art Lab: Principles of Art & Design
Designed especially for homeschool students, Art Lab: Principles of Art & Design offers a thoughtful, skill-building art experience during the school day. This class is ideal for budding artists ages 9–16 who want to strengthen their creative foundations while exploring a wide range of art materials and techniques.
Students will explore drawing, painting, mixed media, sculpture, clay, and more through varied, hands-on projects that build skills and strengthen creative techniques. Lessons are structured to support learning while leaving plenty of room for curiosity, experimentation, and personal expression.
This series focuses on essential art principles including line, shape, form, value, shading, color, and composition. Students develop both observational skills and how to focus ideas as they learn how to apply these principles across different subjects, styles, and mediums.
