IF YOUR CHILD LOVES ANIMALS AND DRAWING, THIS CAMP IS FOR YOU!
Get ready for an adventure like no other as we dive into the exciting world of animals! In this one-of-a-kind camp, young artists will explore how to draw animals and observe and record through sketching. Young artists will learn techniques on how to sketch gestures and movements to create dynamic, lively artwork of the animals.
But that’s not all—this camp brings real animals right to the studio on select days, giving campers the chance to get up close and personal with the creatures they’re drawing! Plus, we’ll head out to the zoo twice — just one block away from Lionardo Art Studio — for even more inspiration.
By the end of the week, artists will transform their sketches into 1-2 stunning polished illustrations using their choice of pencils, inks, or watercolors.
This is an immersive art camp like none other!
Safety is our top priority! On the two days we visit the zoo, we will meet at the zoo gate and spend the entirety of camp inside the enclosed areas of the beautiful John Ball Zoo. We ensure a minimum of three adults on our field trip at all times—two of our Lionardo Art Studio teachers and one parent volunteer—giving us a 1:4 adult-to-child ratio. If you have any concerns about safety, we welcome you to be an extra helper on the zoo field trip!
Lionardo Art Camp is drop off.
VOLUNTEER: We are also looking for a parent or caregiver to volunteer for the days we are at the zoo. You can volunteer for one or both days. First volunteer will receive a free ticket to the zoo, and responsibilities include keeping an eye out on students for safety and be on standby if there is any need.
Price: The price is $195 for the camp and a $25 entertainment fee, which includes animal entertainment and two tickets to the zoo.
