IF YOUR CHILD LOVES WOODWORKING, THIS CAMP IS FOR YOU!
This Summer Camp is all about woodworking! In this camp, we'll make 2-3 fun and functional projects campers will take home for play and display that they will treasure for years to come.
Campers will learn about the safe use of hand tools as well as the properties of wood. Campers will learn a wide range of valuable woodworking skills such as measuring, sawing, hammering, drilling, sanding, shaping, assembly, and painting.
In addition to making woodworking projects with our guided instructions, campers can make their project their own by adding extra wood touches, paint their projects, or any creative touches to personalize their projects. We love creativity. What will your campers come up with?
What to bring: We will be outdoors. Children need closed-toe shoes and long hair tied back. Bring a refillable water bottle.
LUNCH HOUR: The fun camp Artistic Amusement Fair, is in the afternoon. If your child would like to sign up for the morning and afternoon camp, and you'd like them to stay during the lunch hour, there’s a $10 fee for the week to cover the lunchtime gap. They can bring a lunch and have lunch with us with the option to do open studio art after lunch.
Safety: Safety is priority in our summer camps. In the woodworking camp, all campers wear protective eyewear when cutting and hammering and wear gloves for handling wood. All campers learn the proper way to hold a saw, hammer a nail or use a handheld drill. Campers do not use power tools in our woodworking camp.
